Employers Trainings in Cyprus completed

The MIraGE Trainings for Employers in Cyprus have been successfully completed!

Center for Social Innovation, the Cypriot partner of MIraGE, has successfully implemented two online trainings addressed to Employers who wish to employ Third-Country Nationals (TCNs) in Cyprus, in March 2021. Each training had a duration of two days and was implemented in the Greek language.

The trainings attracted employers and HR consultants from various sectors: agriculture, services, food & beverage industry, travel industry, research organisations and others.

Approximately 34 participants attended the trainings and gained an insight into the legal framework surrounding the employment of TCNs in Cyprus, discovered support services and organisations to share for migrants and learned more about ways to promote diversity and a multicultural working environment to promote both labour and social inclusion of their TCN employees.

Each Employer training hosted a representative from the Cyprus Refugee Council, who presented the Help Refugees Work platform, a platform for both TCNs and Employers to find a job and to look for employees respectively. Additionally, each training hosted a presentation by the Diversity Charter Cyprus, which is officially represented and managed by the Center for Social Innovation, and that aims to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees by fostering diversity thinking and implementation of inclusive practices.
